Departure (B) Day 1: Sai Gon. Arrival and city tour Arrival at the airport in Saigon, and transfer to hotel (check in from 12:00). Departure for the visit of the Giac Lam Pagoda, Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office in metal architecture (in the end of 19th century) Eiffel style, and the municipal theater (1903) then visit the Chinese quatier in Cho Lon. Overnight at hotel in Saigon. Day 2: Saigon-Cai Be-Tra On. Overnight on board (B, L, D) Breakfast. 8:30 depart to Cai Be. Boarding at Cai Be at noon. Welcome drink, check into the cabins. Departure towards Cho Lach on the Tien Giang river. Lunch while en route. Rest on the deck. The Bassac slips into the Chợ Lách canal, in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the river traffic, between markets and churches, a unique opportunity for a glimpse of the very varied life on the banks as well as on the water. Visit of a village on the banks of river Mang Thit, an opportunity to appreciate the way of life and hospitality of the local inhabitants. Visit of the orchard or rice fields nearby. Boarding back, complimentary drink as a welcome back on board. Rest on the deck enjoying the sunset. The crew will serve dinner while the Bassac is cruising Mang Thit river. The Bassac sets anchor just downstream from the little Tra On floating market, for the night. Day 3: Tra On- Can Tho- Cai Rang- Chau Doc (B) You may get up for breakfast as early as 06:30, as the ship is resuming its cruise the Tra On floating market. The ship then departs towards Can Tho. Arrival in Cai Rang floating market, check out and transfer onto a local boat to visit the floating market, the nearby arroyos and gardens and return to the Ninh Kieu pier. Return and desembark at 11h. Depart to Chau Doc via a narrow road and savage in the extreme north of the Mekong Delta. Arrival in Chau Doc in the afternoon, if time allows: Ascension of the hill Sam, site of pilgrimage. Visit a floating house, a fish farm, a village Cham. Overnight in Chau Doc. Day 4: Chau Doc-Phnom Penh. By speed boat (B) Breakfast. 7:30, pick up at the hotel and departure to the pier, take the speed boat Hang Chau toPhnom Penh (starting at 8:00). Stop at Vinh Xuong for the about 30 minutes. Arrive in Phnom Penhand transfer to the hotel. Afternoon, city tour. Overnight at hotel in Phnompenh. Day 5: Phnompenh Kompong Chhnang-Oudong-Battaambang-(B) Breakfast. 7:00, drive to Battambang. En route, visit Oudong, the ancient capital of Cambodia, then Kompong Chhnang and (port of Potteries) for its potters. Visit the floating village Chnuk Tru. Arrive in Battambang around 16:00, transfer to hotel. Overnight in Battambang. Day 6: Battaambang. Leisure (B) Breakfast. Free day to explore this city. Overnight in Battambang. Day 7: Battaambang- Siem Reap (B) Breakfast. Departure by bus to Siem Reap through the beautiful landscapes. Arrive in Siem Reap, transfer to hotel. Overnight in Siem Reap. Day 8: Siem Reap. City tour (B) Breakfast. Visit Angkor Thom. Entry by the gigantic South Gate and the center of the city Angkor Thom, the Bayon. The Elephant Terrace, Leper King Terrace. Visit Temple of Angkor Wat "The capital of the monasteries," which is the symbol of the Cambodian and one of the main Khmer monuments. In the late afternoon, you will climb Phnom Bakheng Hill to admire the sunset. Overnight in Siem Reap. Day 9: Siem Reap. City tour (B) Breakfast. Free morning. Afternoon, take a boat trip on Tonle Sap Lake. Walk to the market. Visit the Building Schools to discover the Khmer traditional handicraft. Overnight in Siem Reap. Day 10: Siem Reap- Kbal Spean- Banteay Srey (B) Breakfast. Departure for Siem Reap, beginning with the unique site of Kbal Spean or the River to 1000 Lingas: discovery of the sacred river and sculptures of Buddhas and Lingas. Then return towards the parking lot and drive to Banteay Srei, the Citadel of Women. Back to Siem Reap and stop to visit Banteay Samre which means "Citadel of Samre." Visit of Takeo and Preah Khan. Arrive in town at the end of the day. Overnight at hotel. Day 11: Siem Reap-Luang Prabang. Flight (B) Breakfast. Transfer to airport for flight Siem Reap / Luang Prabang. On arrival, pick up and transfer to hotel. Afternoon: discovery of the ancient royal capital of Laos, classified "World Heritage" by UNESCO. Departure to visit: Wat Xieng Thong, Wat Xixoun, Vat May. Climb the Mount Phousi to admier the sunset on the banks of the Mekong. Walk to the night market. Overnight in Luang Prabang. Day 12: Luang Prabang -Kuangsi- Luang Prabang (B) Breakfast. Transfer to the Elephant camp at Ban Noona, ride on the back of an elephant through the tropical forest along the Nam Khan River. Continue to Ban Xieng Lom to take a boat to Tad Sae waterfalls. In the afternoon, discover the museum in a former royal palace. Excursion in KuangsiFalls. Along the way: stop by the craft villages and Henri Mouhot tomb. Overnight in Luang Prabang. Day 13: Luang Prabang-Pak Ou-Parbeng (B) Breakfast, departure to Pak Ou by boat, located at the confluence of the Nam Ou and Mekong. Visit the sacred caves of Tham Ting, Tham Poum. Continuation of the cruise to Pak Beng. Overnight in Pakbeng. Day 14: Pakbeng-Oudonxay-Nong Khiow (B) Breakfast. Road to Nong Khiow, a small village perched on the bank of the Nam Ou River. Stops to visit the villages of ethnic minorities, the town of Muang Xai-capital of the province, the big village at Ban Me Hong Song Ja and Nak Bak city. Arrive in Nong Khiow in the afternoon. Overnight in Nong Khiow. Day 15: Nong Khiow- Luang Prabang- Vang Vieng (B) Breakfast. Return to Luang Prabang by fllowing Nam Ou. Few stops to visit the traditional villages and take the beautiful photos of landscapes. Arrive Vang Vieng in the end of the afternoon. Overnight in Vang Vieng. Day 16: Vang Vieng- Vientiane (B) Breakfast. Visit the cave Chang before departure to Vientiane by bus. On arrival, visit Wat Prakeo and Wat Sisakhet, two pagodas transformed into museums. Visit That Luang, the Monument symbol of Lao nation. Walk along the banks of the Mekong in the sunset. Overnight in Vientiane. Day 17: Vientiane. Departure (B) Breakfast.
